Chris began his fire service career in 1984 as an Explorer with the Clemmons Fire Department in Forsyth County. He became a firefighter in 1988 and currently holds the position of Deputy Chief and Chair of the Board of Directors for the department. After serving 30 years, Chris retired from the Forsyth County Fire Department. He holds an associate’s degree in Fire Protection Technology from Guilford Tech and a bachelor’s degree in Fire & Safety Engineering from the University of Cincinnati. Chris is a former President of the Forsyth County Firefighters Association, the Piedmont North Carolina Firefighters Association, and the North Carolina State Firefighters Association. He lives in Clemmons with his wife, Dana, and their son, Cole.
