All NC Fire Departments are invited to participate in the 3rd Annual Smoke Alarm Saturday 2020 on:
Saturday, June 6, 2020
In 2019, 117 North Carolinians lost their lives because of fire related incidents. That’s 117 too many!!!
Smoke Alarm Saturday 2020 is North Carolina’s one-day, statewide smoke alarm canvassing event to bring awareness of the need to have working smoke alarms and to help educate our communities how to be safe as possible in case of a fire in their home.
Last year’s event was a huge success. NC fire department held 134 events in 73 counties, installing thousands of alarms in homes across North Carolina – ALL IN ONE DAY!
Let’s get all 100 counties holding a Smoke Alarm Canvassing event. This is a big goal but with your help, we can pull this off and help save lives!
To participate and to be eligible to receive up to 54 alarms for your event, register at www.ncdoi.com/ez/alarmsat
Installing smoke alarms in just five homes, gets us that much closer to being able to say “NC had ZERO fire fatalities this year”
Smoke Alarm Saturday 2020 is a partnership of OSFM, NC Fire Departments, Kidde, First Alert, American Red Cross, NC State Firefighter Association and the NC Fire Marshal’s Association
