This will be my last blog post as NCSFA President. Next week, at the 2011 South Atlantic Fire Rescue Expo the gavel will be passed on to Eastern representative Bill Jones, Chief of Lower Currituck FD. This years Expo theme is “Commitment.” This past year, during my term as President, I have been amazed by the commitment displayed by NCSFA staff, executive board and other state and regional agencies/associations. There are so many that care deeply about the firefighters of this great state and are committed to bettering the fire service. Its been an honor and privilege to serve with these fine folks. I truly wish Chief Jones the very best in the upcoming year and may god watch over each and every member of our great association.
