The Town of Duck is seeking qualified and energetic individuals to fill two new positions for Firefighter/EMT with the Duck Fire Department. Duck Fire is a combination department responsible for fire protection and emergency medical first response in the Town of Duck. Firefighter/EMT’s are responsible for preparing for and providing fire, rescue, and emergency medical services to residents, businesses, and visitors. Applicants must possess and maintain or be able to obtain prior to the completion of a probationary period, valid certifications as North Carolina Firefighter Level II, North Carolina Emergency Medical Technician-Basic, and Class B NC Driver’s license. Salary range is $42,212-65,429 (experience considered). Apply by submitting a letter of intent, town application, resume, and copies of related certifications to Drew Havens, Town Manager, PO BOX 8369, Duck, NC 27949. Applications accepted through Wednesday July 21, 2021, at 5:00 pm. Physical Agility Test and Interviews are expected to occur during the week of August 2-7, 2021.
