Fire Engineer – Town of Louisburg, NC Fire Department is accepting applications for full-time Fire Engineer. Salary Range is compensatory with certifications and experience with a competitive benefits package and member of the local government retirement system. Minimum qualifications include high school diploma or GED, valid NC Class B driver’s license, and physical requirements associated with firefighting. Employees will work varied 24 hour shifts which include nights, weekends, and holidays. Shift consists of the A/B/C rotation and currently operates out of one station. Pre-employment physical and random drug testing may be required.
Preference given to certified applicants with NC-Firefighter II, Driver Operator Pumps and Aerials, NC EMT, and Child Passenger Seat Technician. Non-certified applicants will be required to obtain needed certifications listed above within an 18 month time period.
Included with the application and resume, shall be copies (if applicable) of the following:
(1) Valid NC Class B Driver’s License
(2) NC OSFM Firefighter Level II certification
(3) NC OSFM Driver Operator Pumps certification
(4) NC OSFM Driver Operator Aerials certification
(5) NC OSFM Hazardous Materials Responder certification
(6) CPS Technician
(7) NC EMT or higher certification
(8) NC OSFM Transcript Summary
