The Town of Newport Fire Department is currently accepting applications for 2 full-time Paramedic/Firefighter Trainees or FF/Paramedics. Successful candidate will work a 48/96 shift schedule. Our department covers seventy-five square miles of response area composed of rural and suburban districts. Shift personnel cross-staff fire apparatus and ALS transport units with a steadily increasing call volume, answering over 2400 calls for service in 2022.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid NC Driver’s License
– NC Paramedic
- ACLS, PALS, BCLS, PHTLS
Applicants must be physically capable of carrying out the duties associated with EMS and training as a NC Firefighter. Successful candidates will be required to pass boarding with the Carteret County Medical Director, prior to the first assigned shift day.
Salary ranges from $43,981-$52,359 DOE.
