The Town of Newport Fire Department is currently accepting applications for 1 Fulltime FF/EMT-Basic position. Position works a 48/96 schedule. Our department covers a seventy-five square mile area with a steadily increasing call volume of 2400 in 2022. The department cross staffs fire and EMS apparatus.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma, Valid NC Driver’s License,
NC Office of Emergency Medical services credential of NCOEMS EMT Basic, Healthcare Provider BCLS certification
NC FF II, Haz – Mat Ops, (NIMS) ICS 100, 200, 700 and 800.
Applicants must be physically capable of carrying out the duties that firefighting and EMS require.
Starting salary range: $39,892-$47,490 Depending on qualifications.
